In April 2018, the federal government fined the telecommunications company 40 million dollars for failing to live up to its service commitments, as well as lying about it.

The government put T-Mobile on a three year probationary period to eliminate the company’s unethical business practices.

Moreover, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) lists 20,475 complaints against T-Mobile in the past three years over poor service, misleading promotions, and improper billing practices.
