An attendant took my carry on bag and placed it in checked baggage--without my permission. When I retrieved my bag my lap top won't turn on, my sleep apnea machine is broken, computer mouse shattered, etc. The airline states they have no liability for the actions of their employee or reimbursing me replacement costs. I sought help at the United Security Baggage desk. Not one would examine the effects. Not one had me fill out any paperwork. And instead verbally (uncaringly) referred me to the United Airlines.com/feedback page.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem? (optional)
Compensation for the damage items. I would never check these items in the checked baggage because of their value. Plus TSA mandates no laptops, ion batteries etc in checked baggage. This is theft. Then damage. Then no customer care. Their business model must change.
