I signed contract on 04/10/2019 on 04/11/2019 I sent cancellation request. ADT Called me and negotiated with me to lower the bill and send me visa cards $500 which none happend. On 05/22/2019 I signed new contract with ADT and on 05/23/2019 I sent cancellation request to ADT. Till now the keep charging my account and they refusing to cancel the service I called them 10s times.
I have had 2 vehicle break ins in the time that I have had Vivint. The cameras do not catch it and since I have had this service it has never worked the way they sold us on, any time we call with a concern they try selling us more equipment which is there way of keeping you in a buy out contract. I do not have $1400.00 to buy out equipment that I do not want due to its lack of reliability. Sadly the first robbery was the cause of me losing my job due to the fact that it was a company vehicle that got broken into (that was in my cameras view)
Saturday may 25th 2019 we called home shield as our air conditioner was not running properly. The fan would stop and no air, work then not. I live in orange city fl and temps today were 94 and will be higher through labor day. So we called they said they could not send anyone to fix as its saturday on a holiday weekend unless the temps were 105 degrees. I am 62 disabled my husband is 68 and we told them this. To bad it has to be 105 for an emergency call. We got it in case something happened. It did and now they will not come.
My Air conditioning unit stopped working and the diagnosis made by the Rep who visited my property from American Home Shield notified that I had to pay the following OUT OF POCKET
I initially put a claim in for my Kenmore refrigerator that stopped working in January 2019, they send a company out and they replaced some parts. Refrigerator worked for a few weeks and stopped working again, now over 3 months later and 5 different companies have gone out to look at it, still not working refrigerator.
We just found out our contract is 5yrs not 2. We were told the equipment was 5 but could pay off sooner. We were under the impression it was a 2yr we never would have signed for anything longer. We are also having issues with the system and are getting the run around. So far it’s not fixed
I own a business that operates in many locations. I met Taylor Hopkins (authorized Vivint Dealer) and we created a customized plan to place 3 cameras, Smart Protect Key pad, and a space monkey hard drives at each of our 15 locations. I signed 10 contracts on Aug 28, 2015 for 59 per month for 42 months. Installations began within a reasonable time and we were told that the Space Monkey hard drives were back ordered and would ship in soon. The Space Monkey gave us 1 terabyte of backup and allowed us to see 30+ days of activity. With out the space Monkey drives the unit only records for 24-48 hours. The space monkey drives never came.
AHS would not repair or replace Air Conditioning
Increased rate on me. The contract said I can cancel without penalty if I disagree with the rate increase. I called to cancel, quoting the rate increase. They gave me an address to write a letter to. I did, quoting the contract’s rate increase clause. They canceled but charged me early termination fee. When I disputed, they said that I didn’t say I canceled because of rate increase. Blatant lie!
4 years ago my mother open an account with Vivint. she and I had just rented a house together and we had my two young sons with us. 2 years later she got very sick and went to a nursing home but I kept paying the Vivint. During that time I called Vivint to ask for some help with my bills, the salesman said that he could do me a favor and lower my bill $10 a month for one year. I was really grateful until now, my mother has passed away and my boys and I would like to move out of this house so I called Vivint because I knew that it was just a couple of months before my contract was up. until they told me that when I had called and he had supposedly helped me by giving me a discount, he had also scammed me into another 60 month contract and that I would have to pay over $3,000 to get out of it.
